ARIES NEW MOON
to be painfully convicted to the self; the courage to open your bleeding heart
2026 NEW MOONS // April 17 - 20
Greetings friends,
I’ve been having so many realizations lately, realizations that have deeply contradicted all of the unconscious expectations I’ve unknowingly placed upon my life, the timeline of my future, and myself. I have been feeling extremely vulnerable as of late, as I’ve finally accepted that some of the things I so intensely thought were going to be true perhaps were never meant to be. It’s a humbling thing, to release something from your mind that you were convinced was an unchangeable truth, something that you once would have bet your life on. I feel cornered in some ways at present, but that’s not a bad thing, merely uncomfortable. There are a lot of things that I thought were true about myself that I have only recently been shown are false, and it has been because the circumstances of my life have given me no other choice than to see the reality that stands before me. I feel exposed and delicate, and under this concentration of Aries energy, you may be feeling the same in some ways.
This new moon is an interesting one; it conjoins Chiron, the asteroid of wounds, and we also see the Saturn-Mars conjunction coming together alongside it. Considering Mars is the ruler of this lunation, and Saturn is placing restrictions around it, we may find ourselves in a bit of a standstill as we confront a wound revolving around the most sensitive parts of who we are. These may be elements of our identities that we feel insecure about or aspects of who we are that we may wish we could change instantaneously but cannot. This new moon conjoining Chiron is bringing our biggest pains, insecurities, and wounds—the ones that feel the most sensitive—into obvious view. There may be the inclination to self-sabotage at this time so we can have some semblance of control over the things we find ourselves engaging with. You may find that what is being highlighted by this new moon was introduced to you between March 26th and 28th, as that was when Venus conjoined Chiron. It may be built upon through conversation with the full moon in Scorpio in a couple of weeks, when Mercury conjoins Chiron. And perhaps these matters will be moved into a more physical or actionable direction between May 14th and 18th, when we see Mars conjoin Chiron.
Quite a lot of grotesque imagery has come to mind as I’ve been analyzing this new moon. Cauterizing your own wound, digging a bullet from your own flesh, sewing up your own skin—intense! But something that has felt more resonant for me personally has been to describe this energy as a house pet turned street dog, and in this specific scenario, the dog is backed into the corner by someone trying to rescue it. You may find yourself to be the dog, or the person, or maybe both. When you learn to expect pain, you may find yourself instinctually bracing for an attack that will never come. And when help, love, stability, or peace arrives, your fear of being hurt may blind you from seeing it for what it is—you may end up rejecting it before it has the chance to get too close. We may find that our survival tactics are being highlighted through this moon, as we may find ourselves in scenarios or engagements that demand that we have a great deal of vulnerability, as they may involve things that we simultaneously fervently desire and greatly fear. Perhaps we fear it because of how deeply we desire it. Let’s discuss this moon a bit more.
SEMINARS + PERSONAL READINGS
I’m hosting a couple of seminars at the end of May and beginning of June! They’re going to be discussion of Jupiter in Leo and the Jupiter-Saturn trines, which will take place over the course of 2026 and 2027. You can read more about them down below, I’d love to see you there!
THE SPOTLIGHT: JUPITER IN LEO - MAY 30TH, 2:30 PM PST
This seminar will share what we can expect to be magnified with Jupiter’s movement through Leo, which will include a discussion of how we can work with this energy to increase our visibility online and in person, in both interpersonal and community relationships. I will share how I predict this transit will facilitate changes in our social culture and social currency and what those alterations may look like. You will learn how this transit can be best utilized for expanding your visibility in your romantic, professional, and personal life. If you’ve been wanting to start a business, get into more enriching connections, build more authentic confidence, initiate a personal rebrand, or something else requiring some courage, this discussion is for you. In this class, I will share how this transit is going to teach us about becoming unforgettable and irreplaceable and how we can harness those teachings to generate more abundance, progress, and pleasure.
What you’ll learn in this class:
The three stages of a Jupiter transit (and how to work with them)
How Jupiter in Leo will shift our social currency in social environments and on social media
How to leverage this transit to increase your visibility (and your capacity to be visible!)
What this transit will mean for all twelve signs
This class will be accompanied by a small guidance manual sent to all attendees after the class has concluded, which will include a summary of what was discussed in class and more detailed advice for how all twelve signs can work with this transit. The manual and class recording will be sent to all registrants, regardless of attendance. There will be time for questions at the end.
BODY AND SOUL: THE JUPITER-SATURN TRINES - JUNE 6TH, 2:30 PM PST
Jupiter and Saturn form relationships with each other slowly over the span of years. Jupiter is the planet of spirituality, faith, higher learning, philosophy, good fortune, and growth. Saturn is the planet of restriction, hard work, boundaries, struggle, discipline, and devotion. When these planets are talking to each other, we are examining how we can harmonize faith and dedication, optimism and practicality, and spontaneity and endurance to optimize our movement toward our goals, ambitions, and dreams.
With each aspect, we see a development of their conversation, which shapes our culture, social focus, and individual and interpersonal evolution. The trine is a harmonious aspect, representing a favorable blending of energies usually pointing to progress. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, and Saturn, the planet of restriction, join in trine in a series of three contacts, and their trines are separated by seven and fourteen years. The last time we saw this aspect between these planets was in 2013 and 2014. The next set will be in 2034. This set of trines will occur between August 2026 and July 2027, inviting us to examine how devoted we can be to the spark that animates and inspires us.
This seminar may be most insightful if you have attended the previous seminar, THE SPOTLIGHT, discussing Jupiter in Leo, but it’s not required.
In this class, you will learn:
How the Jupiter-Saturn squares in 2024 and 2025 set us up for these trines
What these trines will facilitate and what changes we can expect to see from them in our personal lives and culture
How the trines will build off of each other, how each is adding to the full story
What these trines are bound to bring for each of the twelve signs
This class will be accompanied by a small guidance manual sent to all attendees after the class has concluded, which will include a summary of what was discussed in class and more detailed advice for how all twelve signs can work with these activations. The manual and class recording will be sent to all registrants, regardless of attendance. There will be time for questions at the end.
DOES CHOSEN PAIN HURT LESS?
This moon is forming in conjunction with Chiron, the asteroid of pain that festers, wounds that never fully heal, the ache in our bones. It’s a pain that lingers and must be handled with care, as our attempts to force healing may only agitate the wound more and prolong its hurting. Because this is a new moon, this means both the sun and moon are connecting with Chiron—sun conjunctions brighten and purify; moon conjunctions soften and expose. A sun conjunction is called a cazimi, which is an astrological word derived from an Arabic phrase meaning, “as if in the heart.” Cazimis signify the planet or placement being contacted going through a cleansing process—purification by fire. The sun is the king, and when he contacts one of the other planetary bodies, he offers it his throne for the day. Because of this, this lunation is bound to be magnifying our pain, insecurities, and vulnerabilities. This may not sound very pleasant to hear, but it’s the ugly truth of some new beginnings—for it to get better, sometimes it has to feel worse.
This moon is like having to pull the bullet out of your own wound, which is no simple or quick task. You have to reach into your own flesh, pry it open, stare at it in all of its grotesqueness, smell the metallic of your own blood, and override the pain begging you to stop. And it’s all the more challenging because you’re doing it to yourself. Insecurities are bound to be brought into our awareness during this lunation, likely through scenarios that will irritate them to a point of extreme discomfort, but the additional activations of this lunation suggest we are approaching the pain, discomfort, or irritation with a sense of authority that we’ve perhaps lacked in the past. Chiron has been in Aries since 2018. In the earlier degrees of Aries, Chiron may have had us succumbing to the cries of our pain, allowing our discomfort to let us push ourselves away from further examining the wound. Perhaps in the first several years of this transit our actions were dictated by our pain, but we may have not admitted that; we may have not even realized it; we may have claimed we were acting authoritatively. In these past couple of years, though, as Chiron has begun to mature through Aries, perhaps we’ve had to confront how childishly we’ve truly been in the stewardship of our pain. Actively avoiding what hurts while calling it courage is most cowardly indeed.
Aries is an archetype of action; it’s the warrior that charges ahead. This can be a great asset to us at times, as it leaves little space for prolonged contemplation, which can sometimes be a mechanism of avoidance when we are fearful of what lies on the other side of action. However, restlessly staying busy—constantly moving—can sometimes be a trickier escapism tactic, especially considering we live in a society that praises action and external pursuit so readily. Sometimes Aries stays in motion not because it’s running toward something but because it’s running from something. An appearance of courage may actually be driven by cowardice.
Considering this new moon’s conjunction with Chiron, and Mars—this moon’s ruler—conjoining with Saturn, the lord of time, decay, and boundaries, we may find that the latter motive—running from something—is the more dominant reason for our erraticism or intensity at this time. Mars and Saturn only conjoin once every two years or so, and the last one we had in Aries was in April 1998. These are generally times of frustration and irritability, as Mars wants to act—it wants to expend energy—and Saturn holds it back—it wants to conserve energy. Mars is a planet that thinks the solution lies in doing something always, but Saturn has the maturity to understand that sometimes patience is the better course of action. And in a sign like Aries, where Saturn is weakened through fall, and Mars is empowered through domicile, we may find that we’re gritting our teeth in the face of Saturn’s advisory of patience. Despite Mars being strengthened by Aries, Saturn always prevails. This, combined with this new moon, may have emotions feeling more theatrical and volatile; we may feel like a creature chomping at the bars of a cage we cannot break out of. And for many of us, this cage may be one of our own creation. The thing we are asking to be patient with may involve the uncomfortable experience of sitting in pain that cannot be quickly resolved. You may feel as if this lunation’s energy is forcing you to sit in a room with something you have long run from, and it won’t let you leave until you have made peace with it. But peace cannot be forced, and this is what likely agitates us the most. The conflict we feel is not resolved through the exertion of effort or physical strength; it cannot be harmonized through doing. It has to be breathed into; we have to soften when our instinct may be to brace. This is an important time to observe the impulses that arise from us feeling caged in by a process that feels painfully slow. We may want to act so we can feel a sense of control over the matters that are developing at this time, but, as frustrating as it may be, this is an important time to be present and allow things to develop organically.
Do you have the courage to sit still?
Can you bravely stare at what hurts?
This moon asks us to consider how we have perhaps feigned confidence or power by trying to play God by choosing familiar pain instead of sitting with the pain that could lead to healing. That second pain requires a greatly larger deal of vulnerability and self-examination. Aries is now, it’s presence. This accumulation of Aries energy urges us to center ourselves in the now, as this is where we find true power. But some information can only be revealed in time, and this is why presence demands to be returned to over and over and over again. It is in the present moment that we have access to the most information about ourselves, and it’s where we get to exercise our authority most. Now, your heart is speaking to you. Now, you get to feel it all. Now, you get to witness the most potent iteration of you. Now, you get to decide what your attention goes to. We may interface with these things and feel daunted by their intensity, or threatened by what they say about us. We may fear that exposing the truth of who we are will lead to our destruction, but this moon urges us to find the courage to acknowledge all that we are now and honor it despite how exposing, vulnerable, or embarrassing that may feel. Even if it may not feel like it, new moons are new beginnings, after all, so you may find that will turn into something quite rewarding and worthwhile later on. The key is to hold your sensitivity with care, it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
Take care, my friends. Wishing you the courage to witness and honor yourself in all of your messiness, intensity, vulnerability, and humanness.

ARIES, you may be realizing through this lunation that not every rejection warrants a reaction; perhaps you’re learning to temper the feelings that arise when you feel criticized or attacked, as you have maybe made a habit of recognizing that others’ adverse reactions or perceived criticisms of you, more often than not, have more to do with them than they have to do with you. You may be learning how to not close the gap between you and others just because you can, which may mean that you are facing difficult truths about some relationships; perhaps you are accepting that you are incompatible with some connections that you had great hopes for or have invested a great deal of time and energy into. This lunation may involve you affirming to yourself that you don’t need to overextend yourself just to prove your value or importance, which may mean that you’ll have to stop yourself from going out of your way to ensure that others see you as you know yourself to be. Stop asking to be seen by people who don’t have the capacity to see you in your totality.
TAURUS, this moon brings your attention to dynamics in which you must surrender to larger forces that have power over you, while simultaneously making you aware of authority that you are not exercising from a place of personal power. This lunation may be showing you the pain of everything you wish to be but have not invested the work to become. You may find that there is renewal happening within your psyche because of you being forced to confront a part of yourself you have tried to escape. This may involve a spiritual evolution process you have thought you’ve been participating in—you may realize just how far off you’ve been from truly engaging in the concept you’ve been trying to align yourself with. This lunation may expose some of your deepest fears about incompetence or a lack of definition around your identity, but there is an invitation for you to witness the discomfort that arises without running away, as it is in the acceptance of the truth of who you currently are that you begin to walk the path to enlightenment. You may find yourself frustrated by the fact that there are matters you are beginning to understand conceptually that are not things you are instinctively acting from yet. This moon urges you to take the pressure off yourself to be something that may feel out of reach currently without allowing that to allow you to reject exercising your authority over yourself in the now. Presence is key.
GEMINI, you may find yourself resisting the formation of new connections at this time, or at least running into some inner hesitation, as you may be feeling concerned that you will not be seen or understood in the ways you see and understand yourself. You may be becoming acquainted with individuals or communities that will serve a very healing purpose in your life under this lunation, but this also may be a time in which future projecting and overthinking your behavior in social spaces are more prevalent, so you may have to temper your mind so it doesn’t run away with you. This is an important time to make decisions based off of what the now is presenting to you. You may find that this lunation involves you bringing a desire into your life by trusting your instincts rather than logic. It will be valuable for you to return to authenticity under this energy, especially if you have found yourself straying from your inner truth in an attempt to control an outcome or the future. You may feel more seen than you are accustomed to at this time, which may make you feel uncomfortable and wanting to hide. Don’t overcomplicate your life by trying to sort things out that aren’t making sense right now; all will be revealed in due time. Your job is to act from authenticity!
CANCER, this lunation urges you to examine your fear of being seen, especially in a bold way. You may find that you’re noticing how you have constructed a public identity around an image of what you think is respectable, inspiring, and impressive, even if that identity doesn’t feel aligned with you as you know yourself to be. This moon may ask you to act in honor of what you wish to accomplish and what is good for you as an individual in the long run, even if that may come across as rude or selfish to others from an outside-looking-in perspective. You may find that this moon is reminding you that you are supposed to tell the world who you are, not the inverse. This moon may require you to stand in an identity that feels authentic to you even if it isn’t widely palatable to those witnessing you. This may also involve you exposing an insecurity or pain point in a public or very visible way, which may demand you soften into the discomfort of appearing weak, even though you may wish to reinforce an identity that seems more powerful. This lunation asks you to dissolve beliefs about what success looks like so that you can accept yourself for what you are currently with more reverence. What are you trying to prove, and how could vulnerability actually win you the respect from others you are trying to muscle your way into?
LEO, this moon may reveal to you how you’ve outgrown an old self-concept, perhaps because you’ll be confronted by opinions of you that contradict your perception of yourself. Alternatively, you may be shown how beliefs that you wish to have about yourself are not fully solidified in your psyche, which may force you to face inner work that still has to be done if you truly wish to align with the thing you identify with. This lunation may symbolize your independence or autonomy being restricted, which ironically may be revealed to you through travel or a seemingly expansive scenario. You may be reckoning with difficult truths about how you have tried to associate yourself with expansive experiences or concepts without actually having to independently interface with them, so perhaps this lunation is presenting you with very tangible learning experiences that illuminate the contradictions or holes in your personal philosophies or the ideologies that you’ve claimed to value. This is to encourage you to make a habit of choosing courage instead of waiting for it to arrive. You may find that this will be an important time for you to seriously ask yourself who you want to be and act more concretely on any conclusions you reach.
VIRGO, this moon may be intensely exposing parts of your dark psyche or parts of your identity that are shrouded in shame and self-rejection, posing you an opportunity to accept them so you might be able to break free from cyclic patterns that have held you in a place of defensiveness or rigidity. This lunation may be pushing you to step into an uncomfortable place, perhaps to build intimacy with yourself, a partner, or a close friend. Whatever the case, there may be painful truths you are being urged to face at this time, which have perhaps been hard to integrate due to pride or perfectionism. This could also be a regenerative time in your sexual or intimate life, or perhaps this will be a time in which you are unpacking traumatic memories you have claimed left you unaffected just so you don’t have to think of them. You may find that discomfort will build in intensity until you are able to accept a difficult truth about parts of you that feel messy, immature, or unfinished. Perhaps you will be caught in an unhealthy behavior and will not be able to excuse it, which will force you to confront your ego or pride. This lunation urges you to accept that no one is perfect—everyone has immaturities, flaws, mistakes, and unhealthy coping mechanisms. You may find that admitting yours and devoting yourself to being vulnerable at this time will grant you access to a whole new level of intimacy with your closest connections and yourself.
LIBRA, this lunation may inflame wounds surrounding your identity or competency in partnership; you may find that there are difficult truths you are being pushed to accept about what you are (or are not!) doing. This lunation may illuminate insecurities that you have tried to deny the existence of in an attempt to appear more attractive or capable to an existing partner or a potential one. It is important under this lunation to willingly identify any contradiction that exists between your actions and your words. You may find that this lunation does not allow you to escape responsibility for immature or insecurity-driven actions. There may be a healing opportunity presented to you through partnership or close connection during this lunation, but it may feel threatening to you in some way, as it may require you to expose something about yourself that you have been rejected or criticized for in past connections. This may be a helpful time to observe your behavior around other people—is it coming from an authentic place, or is it a reaction or performance? This is a great opportunity to see how discussing your pain points can deepen intimacy instead of creating divisiveness between you and others!
SCORPIO, this moon may involve you doing a painful but necessary reconfiguration of your lifestyle and daily structure. You may find that the new habits you are implementing at this time do not come easy but will be rewarding to integrate. This moon may be asking you to soften into something that feels threatening to your stability or security—perhaps you’ll be asked to allow yourself to be seen or to make peace with something that you can’t change, something asking you to act from the information it’s providing you with. This may be an important time for you to contain anger or other intense emotions so you can use them as fuel to push you toward a more pleasurable or desirable future. You may simply have to put your head down and push at this time. This may involve difficult reconfigurations of your work or lifestyle; perhaps your consistency will be disrupted in some way or your routines will be thrown off, which will ask you to contemplate how aligned you feel with all that has become mundane and routine in your life. Are you choosing all that you are interfacing with, or are you just continuing to maintain it because it’s already there? This lunation may require you to exert a little more energy than usual so that you can set in motion a new lifestyle that is more aligned with your authentic truth.
SAGITTARIUS, this lunation may guide you into a new stage of self-expression and romantic interaction; perhaps you’ll be operating from a new identity that has been forged from the strenuous process of having to learn things the hard way until they actually stick. You may be learning to take things less personally at this time, which may mean that you’ll be asked to observe any insecurities revolving around your specialness or irreplaceability so you might be able to identify their origin place. You may find that pain points that used to sting quite badly are not as easily inflamed, perhaps because you have been forced to tend to them time and time again. This lunation may invite you to step into a stronger self-concept, which may make you feel exposed or vulnerable, but you may find that you’re more capable of meeting these feelings with calm instead of buckling under them. You may find you’re breaking a pattern involving performance, whether that relates to romantic patterns or creative expression in social or professional spaces. This lunation reminds you that it’s not your job to soothe the insecurities that arise in others from you acting authentically. But it’s equally a reminder that you don’t need to internalize how others manage their insecurities, even if it involves them projecting onto you.
CAPRICORN, this moon may be breaking a long-standing foundation your identity has been stabilized on for quite some time. You may feel deeply exposed at this time, perhaps because you’ll be realizing how you’ve been operating from a childhood wound and have been justifying your continuation in it through pride or defensiveness. This lunation may urge you to accept difficult truths about the way you instinctually respond to emotional matters that involve vulnerability or sensitive topics. You may find yourself moving into a new structure of safety, whether that is a literal place or an emotional experience, and your moving there perhaps cannot be rushed, despite your wanting it to come together faster. This moon asks you to have patience as you address emotional responses or behavioral patterns that you’ve perhaps instinctually operated from for a large portion of your life, which may not be authentically you, but rather who you have constructed yourself to be to survive. This lunation asks you to have more empathy with yourself as you finally slow down to feel into your inner truth and body. You may find that you are struggling to differentiate the difference between intuition and anxiety at this time, perhaps because you are choosing your behaviors more consciously rather than defaulting to reactivity or the primal self. Being vulnerable and devoted to your whole truth is a great strength; don’t dismiss your sensitivity to maintain an appearance of strength.
AQUARIUS, this lunation may have you metabolizing a painful piece of information. You may find yourself accepting an inner truth you’ve been trying to reason with for quite some time, which may relate to a longstanding pain around honoring what authentically aligns with you through the decisions you make. This lunation may bring your individual desires and needs to the forefront of your mind more, which may result in you initiating an important conversation. Or perhaps this doesn’t involve a conversation but is rather a realization that you are finally accepting instead of continuing to keep yourself busy so you don’t have to act upon the thing asking for your attention. There is bound to be a recognition about how you have been passive in wielding your authority in your day-to-day life, which has perhaps built up into irritability toward yourself or the current structure of your life. This moon may reveal to you the value in being more intentional about what you surround yourself with, in both community and media. It may serve you to consider how you can reconfigure your daily habits to be more aligned with who you want to be—what unproductive patterns or habits are consuming precious time? How can you act more intentionally?
PISCES, this moon may reveal to you weaknesses in your self-esteem that you didn’t realize were there; perhaps you’ll be confronting pain points revolving around your value or specialness. This is providing you with an opportunity to reaffirm the values you wish to center yourself in, even if you may find your external reality threatening your sense of security in them. Perhaps you will find that this moon is asking you to declare to the world what you deserve and what you are capable of instead of submitting to what the material plane may be leading you to believe. You may find yourself clinging onto external validation or security in order to feel regulated and stabilized in the face of your insecurities, and this moon urges you to release your grip from them so you can center yourself in your own values and standards. This may be a time in which you’ll have to charge toward pain points about your value or deservingness head-on, which may involve matters of the heart or finances. Impulsively acting is not advised at this time, as you may find that being reactive or moving from intense emotion will result in you disrupting processes that will be supportive of you developing more security and that simply need more time to mature. This is an important time to practice centering yourself in the identity you feel authentic in, not the one you have developed as a protective mechanism.

Super insightful post. I definitely am feeling and trying to embrace all of these changes within myself through this lunation. Thank you!
Wow I totally feel Chiron. This shit hurts!
